Getting ready for the turkey.

I am grateful for good friends.
I am grateful for my children's exuberance.

I am grateful for old movies.(The really good ones.)
I am grateful for challenges.
I am grateful for the Chapel Hill days.
I am grateful that my jeans fit this week.
I am grateful for The Professor's humility.
I am grateful for all my childhood memories.
I am grateful for The Professor's clan.

I am grateful for my clan.
I am grateful for the silly, the ridiculous and the absurd.
I am grateful for dancing.
I am grateful for having enough.
I am grateful for the life of love and service that my parents led.

I am grateful that my parents always kept on trying to be better.
I am grateful that The Professor joins me in that same endeavor.
I am grateful for this little home that God provided for us in the midst of turmoil. (It has an ice machine, even.)
I am grateful for the precision of The Professor's thinking.
I am grateful to be a part of the calibration of his thought.
I am grateful for my children's voices and faces and hands.
I am grateful that people laugh.
I am grateful for stay at home dates while the children sleep.
I am grateful for my birth experiences.

I am grateful for the spirit.
I am grateful for traditions.
I am grateful for books.
I am grateful for playing.
I am grateful for memory.
I am grateful for learning.
I am grateful for repentance.
I am grateful for my life.

(This is the front door way of counting your blessings. It is called cognitive behavioral therapy. It is just good strategy.)

  1. I am grateful for Vaisey hospitality. Thanks so much for letting us visit, smell and eat pan..cakies, tickle your children and pay them to perform, go to dance rehearsal, laugh and laugh etc. We need to scheme for when it can happen again. (All that prep for the stalker video for naught.)Hey maybe we can have a date night on Skype. You and Steve sit in front of Conchords in your living room and Arnie and I will sit in front of Conchords in our living room and we'll just have Skype going to we can hear each other laugh.
