I wish Si would tell me this. Somehow I think it would be better to have it out in the open and acknowledged instead of me silently thinking it and internally berating myself for pretending to be a nice mom even though I'm really horrible.
You all have me laughing my head off at the similar experiences. elizabeth, I simply cannot stop laughing thinking of those words coming out of Caleb's face.
Fab! My twelve year old has resorted to just mumbling the lovely things he thinks about me while in his angry state.... otherwise I sweetly, softly and lovingly remind him that he can clean his pee off the outside of the toilet every week....
ahhhh the joy of being a maid....ooops... a mom!! =)
In work and play we spend our day/ Merrily chasing the hours away/ A-ha, A-ha/ A happy family we. WEE!(That's the old "Happy Family We" song and we sing it before every dinner together.)
This made me laugh out loud. And then I was impressed she knows about the word horrible. Too funny, and you can rest assured I'm a horriblest mom too.

ReplyDeleteaw, from the little one? My big guy ended his day locked in the bathroom, screaming "I hate you" over and over. yipee.
ReplyDeleteThe other night we asked Caleb if he loved his Dad (pre-requisite to asking that he pick his toys up), he replied, "Yes, I just don't like you."
ReplyDeleteSome days, it's a good thing to have a non-verbal kid. He just yells at me a lot. :)
